Oh, hi! It’s just me dealing with the paparazzi now that I STILL Just Want to Pee Alone has launched.
You know–the soon-to-be bestselling book that I’m in? The one full of hilarious and heartwarming stories about motherhood in all its honest and raw glory? You know–the one Jen Mann of People I Want to Punch in the Throat put together? The one with forty kick ass bloggers? (Did I mention that I’m one of them? Yes? I did? OK. Just wanted to be sure.) You know–the one you can’t wait to get your hands on to find out what happened That Time I Went to Target by Myself!!!! <—-That’s my essay … and it’s a Laugh Out Loud kinda piece. Fo rizzle.
I love a good story, even if it means embarrassing myself for a laugh. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and apparently I share private stories in books for all the world to see. I’ve been told I have no pride … and when you read my story, you’ll probably agree.
After writing my piece for this book, I read it out loud to a few people. Here are some reviews:
“Oh my gosh! That’s so funny! I didn’t want it to end!” (the Mom)
*laughing* Oh, god. I can’t believe I just laughed at that. Now I need to burn my brain.” (the Boy)
“OK, that was really funny.” (Hubbinator–that was basically a gushing review from him. He’s a mechanical engineer … so, you get me, right?)
“OMG, how did I not know about this? That’s hilarious!!” (the Seester)
“You’re really funny. And I learn so much from you, Mom! You’re the best. Some day I want to be just like you. You are perfect in every way.” (the Girl)
I might have taken a bit of creative license with that last one. Just a teeny, tiny bit. But it’s close. The first three words are almost completely verbatim. Almost.
