I’m going to be honest:
I had no idea what to expect in this Blogger Idol competition, honestly. I didn’t know that I would be pushed so far out of my comfort zone. I didn’t anticipate the level of stress that I feel sometimes … and it never occurred to me that I would feel myself growing so much in such a short period of time.
I’m really excited about my progress and all that I’ve learned … and I’m even more excited to share this week’s post. The theme is Blogger Idol Gives Back. Our assignment involved sharing a cause that’s near and dear to each of us to increase awareness of the topic. Then we got to share two other bloggers who have inspired, motivated, encouraged or supported us in the blogging community.
I can’t wait for you to see my post so that you can read about my organization (the Human Rights Campaign), a small part of the story about my best friend in college and an experience that we shared that really pushed me into action and the two bloggers I’m sharing: Snarkfest and Wendy Nielsen.
I really hope you’ll have the chance to click the links in the post so that you can see some of the great stuff these people are doing … and why I’m drawn to them.
Your support in this entire endeavor has meant so much to me. Thank you for everything you’ve been doing to make this journey in Blogger Idol a success for me–voting, commenting, sharing my posts.
I am truly grateful.
